Collectors' Edition cards are not legal in sanctioned tournaments. They are identical to Beta with the following distinctions- - Square corners - Gold trim on the back border - "Collectors' Edition" in gold lettering in the middle of the back" These cards are great to use in casual games with opaque sleeves and are especially popular with Vintage, Commander and Cube players looking for a lower cost alternative to the original printings but still use an officially produced Magic Card. They originally came from a small printing of official WOTC released boxed complete sets and are very collectable. Historically these cards have shown a strong increase in value.
